Dean is a real estate agent and green building consultant. He comes to
GreenWorks with experience in design, remodeling, and the building sciences.
Fascinated with architecture and construction early in life, he designed and
built several significant projects before becoming a land surveyor at the age
of 18. In Austin, TX, he served as buildings coordinator for a large
cooperative housing community. In 1989, he moved to Washington and after
finishing his bachelor's degree in systems philosophy and film he started
designing and remodeling with an orientation towards energy efficiency and
healthy building practices.
Dean completed numerous building science courses including House as a System,
the American Lung Association's Healthy House Training, and he earned the
Built Green™ Certified Professional designation. With his experience in
the building sciences and green technologies Dean is able to assess each
house for its value, condition, and potential, making him an invaluable ally
in the search for that perfect home or the fixer that will become the perfect
home.
