Looking for help in sorting out today's "green" world? Wendy has been a designated Built Green®
Professional Real Estate Broker since 2007 and in 2010 updated her green housing knowledge by obtaining both the
Earth Avantage® Broker and EcoBroker Certified® designations.
Her experience in real estate and
related industries heralds back to 1991. Her background includes residential real estate, multifamily,
retail, and commercial property management, personal marketing and branding for real estate agents
and mortgage brokers, and most recently she worked as a consultant assisting with right-of-way
acquisition and negotiation for many Washington municipalities and government agencies.
She also assisted homeowners and tenants impacted by jet noise and forced to relocate due to
the opening of the third runway at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Wendy says, "My personal passion and focus is green living - learning how I can "live with myself"
and my activities on this planet from a sustainable Earth perspective - and then sharing what I
have learned with others through teaching or online media like my blog." She also is a "take action"
person and served on the board of directors of P-Patch Trust, trained and volunteered as a Native Plant
Steward for the Washington Native Plant Society, was a Creek Site Steward of Longfellow Creek for
Seattle Public Utilities, served as a Cedar River Naturalist during the salmon run, a House Hostess for
Southwest Seattle Historical Society's "Homes with History Tour", and misses most her "Volunteer Crew"
positions during the now defunct "FlightFest" formerly held at the Museum of Flight.
A resident of West Seattle since 1997, Wendy and her husband Stephen made a radical adjustment to their
lifestyle in 2007 when they purchased a townhome in the newly redeveloped Built Green® Certified Community
of High Point (still in West Seattle). Wendy and her rescued Italian greyhound, Sophia, organize The High Point
K9 Club. Their current project is constructing an off-leash area in High Point for the enjoyment of their canine
pals. They enjoy walks together in their beautiful neighborhood and other Pacific Northwest great green spaces!
They live with three fun and amusing cats.
Wendy launched a green homes and lifestyle blog on Earth Day in 2007.
